Fundraising for Medical Research dedicated to the memory of Henry Aylett

Henry died suddenly on 2nd October while running the London Marathon, having qualified from his other race times, which was a life-long dream. He was an avid runner and ran countless marathons and ultra-marathons during his lifetime. He used many of these races to raise money for charities that supported family or friends or that he knew would provide a big impact. Over the years the causes he raised money for included Alzheimer’s, MND, Cancer, Epilepsy and Malaria, among others.

Henry died from a rapid and extreme case of rhabdomyolysis.  There is little research and understanding of why it happens to some people so we have been tragically unlucky to lose our wonderful husband, father and friend. If possible, this fund will be used to support further research into rhabdomyolysis, however the Medical Research Foundation support a wide range of research that will make an impact on many people’s lives that Henry would want this fund to be used for.
